Loved it. People state that there is no reception desk, I exactly loved that contactless fact. Others give one star reviews stating they never received an entry code. Just download their app, it cannot be any easier. If your booking agency didnt pass you the info, maybe you should give them 1 star instead of the hotel. Loved the lovation, walkable to all major attractions. Unfortunately lots of homeless people in the area, but they were all friendly. The room itself was big for a city center room. Comfortable, practical and tasteful too!

Stayed here for my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and it was the best location, clean room and looked as advertised. I booked via Airbnb and it was a smooth stay.

Location needs more luggage lockers but I was able to get an early check in. My one star docked is because of the location not anything to do with Sonder, the stay or the staff. The location is incredibly busy with people yelling in the streets until 2:30 am. This was a Thursday night. It was then dead quiet until 8:30 when "normal city noises" began again. They do provide ear plugs, but I'm letting you know this is a trade off for the more expensive hotels located away from the louder night life areas.

My new home away from home in Philadelphia. The space had everything you need and nothing you don’t. I loved being able to check in the building early and relax in the lounge while waiting for my room to unlock digitally at 4:00 PM. You can also store your bags after checkout and come back for them later, or pay extra for a late checkout. I was totally happy with the mostly unmanned setup. They provided earplugs, but I didn’t find the room noisy at all. The location was perfect, within walking distance of restaurants and a small grocery store with all the essentials. The only thing I’d suggest to improve is a better-equipped kitchenette either in the rooms or in the lounge. Even just having some paper plates, utensils, and basics on hand would be nice. It's not essential, but it would make a good setup even better.

Amazing central location. Most ideal if you don’t have a vehicle to park but if you do there is a garage one block away. Be sure to download the garage’s app (ParkIt) for a discounted rate that is more reasonable than anything else close by. Great restaurants, shopping, public transportation & landmarks are within short/ moderate walking distance. Our room was clean and as pictured. Check-in was smooth. The double shower head made it feel like the water was hugging you…which made up for the tight space in the stand up shower. The bed was comfortable. This property does not have a staffed lobby. Hallways are very quiet and sometimes seems like you are the only one there…which can give “if i scream no one will hear me” vibes. You must log into your own streaming accounts to watch TV…this may be a coincidence but I used my Netflix account, made sure to sign out, but on the day I checked out I received notification that someone had changed my password, added and additional user and purchased the premium plan. I am not sure how that happened since I was careful to log out. That said, be careful using your credentials to log into the TV at Sonder properties! Thankfully I got it corrected quickly. Overall this property makes for a comfortable Philadelphia stay at a very competitive price in comparison to other accommodations nearby. This is my fifth Sonder stay and this brand has yet to disappoint.

In A Nutshell: -The Sonder at the Arco is a really cool apartment/hotel. -It's located in the Gayborhood, which felt like a safe area. -I liked the self-check in process which was fairly easy to do. -The room was very spacious w/ high ceilings & a nice sized bathroom. -The building is nostalgic but w/ a nice stylish update which still encapsulates the whole feel. Overall, the price & location are hard to beat in Philly!

Great place for a short stay. The hands-off management approach is nice if you’re a very independent traveler. Steaming TV is a huge plus. No desk in the room. Beautiful building on a great part of town.

Great location, nice clean room. Plenty of space. Important to note that this is not a full-service hotel, but that also means it is priced accordingly. Hot water was fine, but shower pressure was a little light even with two shower heads. At one point I actually couldn't get cold water. Toilet rocked a little whenever I sat down on it. The Keurig coffee is a little weak. No problem with k-cups, but maybe a stronger brand is available? Nice decor to the room. Since there is no front desk for wake up calls, it would be great if there was a backup alarm clock. Also maybe thread a surge protector to the other side of the bed so that both sides have ample outlets. Another reviewer had issues getting in because the check-in process is all online, and I was concerned that I would have similar frustrations, but it was fine. It was a weeknight stay so outside noise wasn't the issue they thought it might be, but the white noise machine was still a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.
